Quattro Wireless Selected as a 2009 MITX Interactive Awards Finalist

Concha y Toro Campaign Recognized for Outstanding Achievement

WALTHAM, Mass., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Quattro Wireless today announced its campaign for the Concha y Toro Xplorador brand of wine has been selected as a finalist in the Mobile 2009 category for the 14th Annual MITX Interactive Awards. Held annually by the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, the MITX Awards recognize excellence in the creation of web innovations designed, produced or developed in New England. Quattro Wireless was the only mobile ad network to be named a finalist in that category.

Begun in 1996, the MITX Awards has grown to the largest and most prestigious awards competition in the country for technology innovations and celebrates the best creative and technological accomplishments emerging from New England.

"The MITX Awards celebrates the union of the big idea and innovation. Every year the synergy between creative ideas and technology becomes more transparent. Our finalists are some of the world's most forward thinking marketing and creative experts who help national and local brands connect with their audiences through the use of technology," said Kiki Mills, president of MITX. "MITX is proud to be the foundation for our region's vibrant digital community, and to recognize and keep our creative minds, marketing strategists, technology developers and consumers at the forefront of evolution."

Quattro Wireless partnered with leading wine producer Concha y Toro to drive awareness for the re-launch of its Xplorador line of Chilean wines. The campaign was aimed at cost-effectively driving consumers 21+ to purchase the wines both in store and at restaurants. Quattro Wireless designed a media plan for Concha y Toro that targeted the audience across the company's premium Mobile Ad Network most likely to engage with the advertising and purchase the product. Quattro also created banner ads and a robust mobile site optimized to deliver on the campaign's goals, with information about the wines, wine and food pairing tips, a retail and restaurant locator, and the ability to share the site with a friend. By leveraging the company's unique Q Elevation audience targeting and campaign optimization technology, the first month of the campaign saw a 6% response rate and almost 30% of site visitors using the locator. With no other media running for this brand, Concha y Toro saw a significant sales increase and have made mobile a key part of their marketing strategy going forward.

"Quattro Wireless is proud of the results we have achieved in our partnership with Concha y Toro and are honored to be recognized by MITX," said Steven Rosenblatt, SVP Advertising Sales, Quattro Wireless. "This campaign is a great example of how mobile advertising can work effectively today for all types of marketers. Mobile provides broad reach, higher response, and generates concrete sales that other digital media can't match; and so it really should be part of every advertising plan."

Quattro Wireless will be recognized with the other finalists in the category of Mobile 2009 at a gala awards ceremony traditionally attended by over 1,100 of the region's top interactive marketing and technology professionals. Winners will be announced at the ceremony in the Boston Marriott Copley Place on Tuesday, November 17th. Tickets can be purchased at www.mitxawards.org/interactive.
