Half of consumers embrace in-store mobile shopping during holidays

Fifty-one percent of subscribers across 11 international markets used their mobile phones for in-store activities like comparison shopping, product information and coupons during the 2009 holiday season, according to a new survey released by handset maker Motorola.

Pepin Distributing Co., a distributor of Anheuser-Busch Inc. beer products, ran an SMS promotion with the National Hockey League’s Tampa Bay Lightning that drove 1,800 opt-ins to its database.

Pulse Launches iPhone App Company

Production company Pulse Films has teamed up with digital creative Dan Morgan to launch KINKUB, an iPhone application development company. KINKUB will create stand-alone iPhone apps, and producing apps as part of Pulse Films’ other multiplatform projects.
