Verizon Wireless recently released its Q4 2009 revenue, boasting impressive mobile data and SMS/MMS usage numbers as well. The company reported full-year mobile data revenues of $16 billion, up 31% over 2008, and representing 31.9% of Verizon’s total Q4 2009 revenue- a 26.5% increase over Q4 2008.
Booyah expands mobile gaming's horizons
Mobile gaming is becoming increasingly more complex and closer to console gaming. FierceDeveloper's latest Developer Workshop profiles Booyah, which is combining social networking with gaming. In December, Booyah launched its first iPhone title, MyTown, and the application already has more than 500,000 users playing the game an average of more than 30 minutes a day.
